Join us for a presentation by Stephen Pottey of Carson City Community Development on “How to Avoid the Development Permitting Traffic Jam”. The Community Development Department incorporates five functional divisions into the Permit Process including the Development Engineering Division, Planning Division, Building Division, Permit Center/Business License Division, and Code Enforcement Division. Todays topic will include method to navigate the Carson City permitting process smoother and updates to future projects in Carson City. Including:

  • Permitting Potholes

  • Development Directional Signage

  • Regulatory Missed Turns

  • Public-Private Turn Signals

  • Jalopies

  • Permit Traffic Volumes

  • Projects coming down the turnpike.

Speaker Bios:

Stephen Pottéy has worked for Carson City for the past 8 years leading the Development Engineering Division of Public Works were he has supported the City’s efforts to make the permitting process simple and efficient.
